Days are spent enjoying the natural riches of Los Cabos, including the sea, mountains and desert; playing the many championship golf courses and indulging at the spa; having drinks under the thatched palapas and fresh fish at the Sea Grill; gazing at the nighttime stars through the telescope in their suite or enjoying the evening on their suite’s rooftop patio. At Las Ventanas, guests are immersed in Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ signature commitment to excellence, embodied in unswerving attention to detail, devotion to style, understated elegance and unparalleled personal service.
Whether guests want something bold and new or just a mani-pedi, blowout or consultation, The Salon at Las Ventanas creates signature beach-chic looks for each guest. Guests may revitalize with a Heart in Hand manicure and vitamin-enriched Heart and Sole pedicure while lounging in zero-gravity chairs or beautify for a special beachside evening with a full makeover and a sun-kissed shimmer treatment.
A signature salon element is the unique and technologically advanced shampoo lounge. Guests are cradled in an air-shiatsu massage system for chromatic light and sound therapy, followed by an aromatherapy scalp and cranial massage, finished with a wash and hair treatment. The salon is devoted to each guest’s needs and offers a full range of services, including hair styling and cuts, scalp massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, full makeovers, aromatherapy, waxing and men’s grooming.
To complete the full journey, salon visitors indulge in signature salon cocktails; a Red Nails Reposado, Lips Mojito, Char ‘n Chair Chardonnay or enjoy the perfect complement to any salon treatment – a Bubbles champagne cocktail topped with cucumber zest and mint leaves.
The distinctive indoor-outdoor design of the spa complements exquisite spa journeys and has made Las Ventanas one of the most desired destinations among Los Cabos spa resorts.
In a verdant and tranquil setting, guests enjoy exquisite indoor-outdoor treatment rooms with private terraces, duet suites for couples, a serene solarium and full-service beauty salon. Under the protective canopy of palms and thatched palapas, guests are renewed and revitalized with personalized spa and salon programs.
The spa’s look and décor echoes the style of the resort, including hand-troweled exterior walls in a desert-sand color, wood and wrought-iron furniture in earthy pastels, and special touches including a hand-crafted salon floor created by Mexican artisans. The resort’s core design motif – curving walls and spaces – flows through the spa and salon.
Creating an evocative sense of arrival, the spa lobby with its rock fountain, comfortable seating areas ringed by palm trees and reception desk are located under a large palapa. The treatment cabanas, boast an outdoor shower and a private terrace and garden, allowing guests to enjoy treatments indoors and/or outdoors.
A serene, circular solarium offers comfortable lounge chairs where guests, under the shade of a palapa, enjoy pre- and post-treatment relaxation to the beautiful harmonic tones of crystal bowls. Separate men’s and women’s dressing areas offer digital lockers, luxuriously appointed vanities, saunas, hot and cold hydrotherapy pools and steam rooms.
Las Ventanas ai Paraiso’s luxuriously appointed spacious Fitness Center offers state-of-the-art fitness center featuring Precor equipment and fitness accessories in 2,900 square feet. Personal trainers, yoga and Pilates instructors are also available for private and group lessons.
The Restaurant’s acclaimed locally sourced, nationally inspired menu is rooted in authenticity and all things local. Known for coining the term “Baja-Mediterranean” cuisine, The Restaurant at Las Ventanas has extended the Baja cuisine narrative with an inspired Mexican menu reflective of the distinct regions of Mexico.
Sophisticated, elegant and relaxed, The Restaurant features authentic Mexican decorative touches and the finest, hand-painted Mexican crockery. Every table at The Restaurant enjoys fabulous views of the resort’s pools and the glistening Sea of Cortez.
Under the helm of Executive Chef Fabrice Guisset and Executive Sous Chef Gustavo Pinet, the menu at The Restaurant reveals a deep respect and admiration for Mexico’s culinary traditions, with ingredients and techniques rooted in the country’s long history, geography and customs.
The Restaurant’s menu draws upon the family recipes and culinary secrets of the entire culinary team, creating a menu that is both sophisticated and authentic.
Ingredients are sourced across the breadth of the 1,000-mile-long Baja Peninsula. Superior-quality fruits and vegetables are procured from a handful of innovative local organic farms, as well as from Guisset’s own organic herb and produce garden on the resort. The Restaurant’s menu reflects the seasonality of its produce and changes accordingly.
The award-winning wine program at The Restaurant celebrates the rich wine culture that exists in the Baja Peninsula. The wine list draws heavily on the verdant Valle de Guadalupe region near Ensenada in northern Baja, famous for producing robust varietals on par with anything found in Napa or Sonoma or Bordeaux.
This impressive wine list also includes intriguing global offerings from California’s top vintage cult wines and distinctive wines from France, Italy and Spain to newly discovered selections from Australia, New Zealand and South America. It also offers a world-class list of 18 wines by the glass, including Dom Perignon champagne. The Restaurant’s tequilero, or tequila sommelier, welcomes the opportunity to pair Chef Guisset’s regional dishes with a wide selection of Mexico’s premier tequilas and mezcals.
Las Ventanas is renowned for its sophisticated luxury. Guests are asked to adhere to a casual resort elegance dress code while dining at The Restaurant. Sleeveless shirts, flip-flops and sneakers are not acceptable. Slacks are required for gentlemen in the winter season. Evening resort attire is appropriate for ladies. Guests are requested to refrain from using cell phones.
From complimentary sorbet to personally awakening guests at a set time, the poolside service at Las Ventanas ai Paraíso is incomparable. Pool Butlers cater to guests’ every need. Immediately upon arrival at the pool area, the butlers welcome them, escort them to comfortable, oversized loungers with relaxing head rests in their preferred location around the pool, and explain the available amenities. As they adjust the lounger to make the guest cozy, they offer magazines and novels from the selection of reading materials as well as personal CD players and the music of their choice from an extensive selection of CDs, or an iPod pre-loaded with nearly a thousand songs in a number of categories from Latin jazz and classical to rock and hip hop.
The Pool Butlers cool guests with mists of frosted Evian spray and cold towels, refresh their palettes by serving complimentary refreshments – ranging from frozen chocolate sorbet cups to lemon grass popsicles – and bring them oversized fluffy towels. Special requests, such as a sunblock with a specific SPF factor, are taken care of promptly. And they serve refreshing drinks from the Swim-Up Bar and scrumptious grilled seafood and meats, salads and more from the adjacent Sea Grill.
At the hammocks on the sand, Pool Butlers serve as personal alarm clocks, helping guests get just the amount of sun – and sleep – they want. Each hammock is equipped with flags (blue and white denoting hours, yellow half-hours) guests run up the pole to indicate to the Pool Butlers what time they’d like to be gently awakened from a siesta or alerted when a specific time arrives. Pool butlers check the flags continuously, and wake the guest with the subtle sounds of an ancient Mexican percussion instrument known as a teponaztle.
Enchanting Mediterranean-Mexican style architecture and design with such features as: a serpentine network of swimming pools; swim-up bar; patios overlooking the sea; dining al fresco by the sand, and suites with personal spas, rooftop patios and telescopes for stargazing.
